About Us
In the world of aerobatics, the upline is a fundamental maneuver that at its core applies energy management principles. It forms the basis for many advanced maneuvers and must be executed correctly for successful performance. The upline can vary by angle, usually being a 45 degree or vertical angle. Accuracy and successful application are essential. It is a climbing maneuver that is purposefully applied.
When training with Upline Aviation you are purposefully learning principles that set your aviation career up for success and increased readiness for the next 'maneuver' in your aviation career.
Upline Aviation is committed to providing specialty flight training and aviation services. We recognize a need for specialized training opportunities that are affordable and accessible to the everyday pilot. We strive to make the aviation community safer.
Upline Aviation, LLC is a veteran-owned business.

Meet the Owner

Nathan Dungan
Owner/Instructor
Hi Folks,
My name is Nathan, and I am the founder of Upline Aviation. I started this venture because I am passionate about what we are offering here: I love this training subject and type of flying, and I truly enjoy teaching. While pursuing my fixed-wing ratings a good friend strongly recommended spin training for my safety. The first time I flew in a tailwheel airplane was the first day I performed spins and aerobatics. I was immediately hooked to the point that I bought my own plane and haven't looked back. When training in military fixed-wing programs I was fortunate to have access to outstanding instruction from world-class instructors. During our training an emphasis was given in UPRT and flight deck risk management. I recognized this level of training is hard to come by for the general aviation pilot and the small business operator with an airplane and/or hired pilots. My hope is to make this training more readily available to everyone and enhance aviation safety for our community... and I promise we will have fun while doing it. Whether we are conducting flight training or I am assisting you with an aircraft purchase, maintenance consultation, pre-purchase inspection, or ferry flight we will give you a professional experience with qualified experts you can trust.
I have a diverse aviation background including military, law enforcement, and general aviation experience. I am currently the chief pilot for a full-time organization and a fixed wing aviator in the military reserves.
